I am a graduate student in astronomy, with a background in physics and the philosophy of religion. I generally enjoy thinking about, talking about, sharing, and experiencing as much as I can about life. I try hard to find something good about every person I meet and to look with the eyes of love at everything that illuminates my path. My only wish is that others will try to do the same.
Recently I Can't Stop Listening To Them on Repeat:

2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl (Daniel Pinchbeck)
A Brief History of Time (Stephen Hawking)
The poetry of Kenneth Patchen
Hero With A Thousand Faces (Joseph Campbell)
and a lot of things by John Dewey
People of Interest:I enjoy reading and listening to things by the authors previosly mentioned. There are a few other particular people I find interesting, like:
Jad Abumrad and Robert Krolwich (creators of Radiolab)
Ira Glass (This American Life)
In general, I get along well with open-minded people, creative people, thoughtful people, and anyone willing to have a philisophical conversation with me.
Places of Interest:I love South America, and have been to Colombia twice for family reunions. I am especially interested in visiting the Amazon.
I once lived in the small mountain town of Idyllwild in Southern California, and I have some of the best memories from there. I think it would be a nice place to build my own house (with some helping hands)!
Soon I plan to visit Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula for hiking, exporing, and learning about some ancient civilizations.
I have family in Tucson and have discovered the sheer beauty of the Sonoran Desert. Most people don't think of deserts as being full of life, but when you see the sand, rocks, and mountains light up in the sunset you can see the living earth.
In general, I like to be in places where the hiking is good. I am enjoying the greenery that the east coast has to offer, and in general green and lush places attract me. I also love water holes and scrambling rocks.
Things of Interest:"Things" just makes me think of material posessions which I would like not to be attached to.
If I had to evacuate my house for the zombie apocalypse I would take the most useful things I have: my backpack, a laptop, and my bike. And if I had room -- books!
Abstract things I like include:
Modern dance
Improvisation dance
Physics
Astronomy
Philosophy of Religion
